I’m obsessed with food: eating it, growing it, and fermenting it. As a FoodCorps service member in Jackson, Mississippi, I serve at a school for children with communication disorders. With FoodCorps, I build and maintain school gardens, engage students in gardening and cooking activities, and work to bring local, healthy items onto the school lunch menu. In addition to growing food, I love experimenting in the kitchen with different ferments such as kombucha, kefir, cultured vegetables, and sourdough.
